REFRESHES FOR SPRING

As you can see, I have refreshed my Blog site.  What do you think of the new format?

I have been pretty busy these past few days, so I haven't posted anything recently.  My furbaby Rachel Rae was very sick and had to be hospitalized for 3 days.  They thought she might have a blockage but, thankfully she did not and she was able to come home Tuesday.  I was so thrilled to have her home again.  She was still traumatized for a few days, but she is slowly  getting back to her normal self and doing all the things she used to do.

she loves to nap on the back of my sofa <3 nbsp="" p="">

I have been doing some Spring refreshing in my house (mostly the living room).  And, of course, I have done a tablescape.

I found these fabulous chevron drapes. I really didn't  think I liked chevron for drapes but I absolutely fell in love with these.

I recovered my bench, and footstool.

Added new pillows to lighten up my dark sofa, incorporating pink into the room.  I am just so loving the pink. I think PeeWee is liking it too

updated and lightened my coffee table

New vase with fresh flowers for the mantel

I found these lovely crocheted or knitted (I'm not savvy enough in needlework to tell the difference) pieces.  The weren't large enough for a throw,

so I stitched them together to make one piece  and added the black  fringe to the ends.   the texture is wonderful and now it makes a beautiful throw.  I am wanting to do a pink popcorn stitch crochet throw for this spring and summer too.

I like to change out my throws from heavy winter ones to lightweight ones for Spring.  I just purchased this lovely green throw.  It is so soft and lightweight.  I know it will be just right for those still chilly spring days and nights.  Do you change out your throws from season to season,  I would love to hear from you.

and also this lightweight animal print throw

I found this fabulous Florida Birds book!!! It has the greatest pictures of these exotic, beautiful water birds.

I took one of the photos and framed it for my easel

I got a crabapple tree for my anniversary ( a little early but I had to get one while they were still available).  They have the prettiest plum colored blooms in spring.

And....the two lovely palm trees.  I like having a little bit of the tropics.

So that is pretty much what I have gotten accomplished so far on my Spring Refresh.  I want to paint the yuk faux rock below the paint with this gray.  (The 6th one down from the top on the right)

Paint the cornices, moulding and trimwork black.

And.................... get one of these awesome rugs.  I am so loving this pink for this year.

I will be refreshing my outdoor space very soon, and I am so in love with this parker-kennedy space. I would love, love to have a gazebo like this.

My gazebo blew away in the storm, so I think I am going to opt for a stand alone umbrella this year.

Happy Spring to everyone, would love to hear about your spring refreshes. Your questions and comments are welcome.

Till next time
God Bless

Kathrynbelle
