Chinoiserie

Happy Saturday
I did manage to get a little thrifting in this week in spite of our stormy weather.  Got these two lovely chinoiserie pieces. 

I was truly excited about this porcelain reclining Geisha, and the porcelain dragon

I also found this cute little brass lamp for the "reading room".

and this  beautiful ornate mirror.  

 I also found a peacock fireplace screen, but it was much more than I was willing to pay so I reluctantly had to  leave it behind.  I know one more reasonable will come along. I'll just have to be patient.

I am wanting to do some decor changes this year.  New paint colors, at least for accent walls.  Wallpaper and some new light fixtures.

I am so loving this dark, romantic bedroom.  

Not quite sure I am brave enough to go for the dark walls, but they certainly are beautiful.  I love it and would like to do some wallpaper like this behind the headboard.

A few more lovelies

This one is my favorite and seems to be the most like the one pictured. 

 Currently I have this room divider for my headboard, but I would be willing to swap it out for one of these beautiful caned headboards.

 I'll be on the hunt now for a caned headboard. 


I am wanting to paint in my living room also. My sofa is kinda grayish greenish brown?  I'm wanting to do a dark accent wall. 

I am probably the only blogger in blog world that doesn't have a white sofa.

I'm thinking maybe "secret garden"  ???
